The Colorado State Music Teachers Association’s Student Activities programs are designed to help students grow as musicians and performers while encouraging teachers to reach new heights in their teaching.

These programs inspire students to develop their musical skills, share their love of music with others, and feel proud of their hard work. Through friendly, supportive performance opportunities and thoughtful feedback, students set meaningful goals—not just to win, but to learn and improve. At the same time, these activities highlight the important role of independent teachers and encourage professional growth through CSMTA and MTNA. Teachers who get involved or follow these standards often find themselves inspired to become even better educators.
